CARYN SMITH: ARTIST

ABOUT
Caryn Smith resides in the seacoast region of New Hampshire and teaches elementary art in Southern Maine.
She is a storyteller and trailblazer. Her artwork explores the intersection of personal narrative and pattern; weaving together personal experience like the trails built by ants. She thinks a lot about what makes a home, having moved ten times in the last five years (she swears she's done moving for at least one more year).
She likes paper, pencils, books and dogs of all shapes and sizes. Her favorite shape is the triangle (it has three sides). When she is not teaching or making artwork she enjoys running long distances in the woods early in the morning with her dog Ronald and snowboarding.

She received her BFA and MAT from NHIA and completed her 200-hour RYT from YogaWorks in 2018!
